神奈川県秦野市にある峠の鉱山跡に行きました。
渋沢鉱山跡とは、神奈川県の渋沢駅から徒歩30分の場所にある鉱山跡です。
今回海城地学部は地質班活動・中1部活体験・文化祭用の黄鉄鉱を採集しに行きました。
当日の流れ
9:00 小田急小田原線渋沢駅に集合
9:08 渋沢駅発神奈中バス渋03峠行き終点まで
9:18 渋沢鉱山到着
↓渋沢鉱山への道のりです。
14:07 渋沢駅で解散
黄鉄鉱の取り方
黄鉄鉱の採取にはパンニングという手法を用います。
下の写真がパンニングの様子です。
パンニングでは専用の皿を使います。
この皿の段差に重い鉱物が引っかかることによって不純物のみを取り除くことができます。
